Desde el capítulo estamos colaboradando con NetHope en esta iniciativa y nos complace invitarlo a participar en el taller de telecomunicaciones de emergencia.  Este taller busca fortalecer la coordinación requerida en el país para garantizar la restauración inmediata de los sistemas de comunicaciones y energía después de un desastre o crisis. Los participantes del taller incluirán a representantes de las organizaciones humanitarias internacionales,  líderes, agencias de las Naciones Unidas, compañías de telecomunicaciones y proveedores de servicios de comunicaciones.

 

Se amplía hasta el 30 de junio de 2023 el plazo de solicitud para la próxima Formación en Telecomunicaciones para Catástrofes en Panamá.

Además, tenga en cuenta que ha cambiado el horario de la formación sobre telecomunicaciones en caso de catástrofe. Hemos realizado este cambio de horario para permitir un mayor compromiso con el contenido del aprendizaje y una formación técnica más práctica. A continuación encontrará un resumen de la formación.

 

Formación en telecomunicaciones en caso de catástrofe

¡PRESENTE SU CANDIDATURA! Le invitamos a solicitar y/o nominar a sus colegas para la formación en telecomunicaciones para catástrofes. Esta formación está destinada, entre otros, a profesionales de las TIC dedicados a mejorar los niveles de competencia y aumentar su capacidad de respuesta ante emergencias y catástrofes. Esta formación también será de interés para los profesionales que participan actualmente o que han sido identificados para recibir formación como futuro personal de apoyo en la respuesta a emergencias.

 

El curso de formación consta de los siguientes módulos: Introducción a los despliegues humanitarios; Conectividad y cableado móvil por satélite; Configuración e instalaciones punto a punto; Configuración e instalaciones de redes; y Energía sostenible. Al final de la formación, los participantes serán capaces de desplegar, gestionar y dar soporte a servicios de datos y voz durante operaciones de emergencia.

 

La formación, de cuatro días de duración, tendrá lugar del 25 al 28 de julio de 2023 en Ciudad de Panamá.  No es necesario pagar tasas de formación para participar. Los participantes recibirán un estipendio de viaje para cubrir los gastos de viaje hacia/desde el lugar de la capacitación (sólo transporte terrestre local). NetHope no puede cubrir los gastos de viaje (es decir, pasajes aéreos internacionales/regionales, hotel/alojamiento) de los participantes que viajen a Ciudad de Panamá.

 

El curso de formación tendrá lugar de 08:00 a 18:00 en la Ciudad del Saber, Ciudad de Panamá. El curso de Formación en Telecomunicaciones para Catástrofes se impartirá en inglés. Sin embargo, tanto los facilitadores hispanohablantes como los angloparlantes estarán presentes durante toda la formación.

Dear Members and colleagues,  The application period for the upcoming Disaster Telecommunications Training in Panama is extended to June 30, 2023.

Additionally, please note that the training schedule for the Disaster Telecommunications Training has changed. We have made this schedule change to allow for deeper engagement with the learning content and for more hands-on technical training. Please find an overview of the training below.

 

Disaster Telecommunications Training

¡APPLY NOW! We invite you to apply and/or nominate your colleagues for the disaster telecommunications training. This training is designed for, but not limited to, ICT professionals dedicated to enhancing competency levels and increasing their capability in responding to emergencies and disasters. This training will also be of interest to professionals who are either currently involved or have been identified to be trained as future emergency response support staff.

 

The training course is comprised of the following modules: Introduction to Humanitarian Deployments; Mobile Satellite Connectivity and Cabling; Point-to-Point Configuration and Installations; Networking Configuration and Installations; and Sustainable Energy. At the end of the training, participants will be able to deploy, manage, and support data and voice services during emergency operations.

 

The four-day training will be held from July 25 – 28, 2023 in Panama City. There are no training fees required to participate. Participants will be provided with a travel stipend to cover travel expenses to/from the training venue (local ground transportation only). NetHope is unable to cover travel expenses (i.e. international/regional airfare, hotel/lodging) for participants travelling to Panama City.

 

The training course will be held from 08:00 to 18:00 at Ciudad del Saber, Panama City. Please submit your application to participate in the training through this online form below no later than Friday, June 30. The English translation of the form is available here. More information about the training will be shared closer to the training dates.

 

The Disaster Telecommunications Training course will be held in English. However, both Spanish and English-speaking facilitators will be present throughout the training.
